Quick answer

Support weapons are valuable when they help the team hold or cross useful ground. They are not automatically better than rifles just because they look heavier. In WARDOGS, weight, ammo, price, role, and Control Zone timing matter as much as fire volume.

What is a support weapon for?

JobUseful when
Objective defenseYour squad needs sustained fire to keep enemies out of the next score check.
Route denialA road, bridge, alley, ridge, or building approach feeds the enemy into the zone.
Vehicle supportInfantry needs cover while a vehicle loads, repairs, lands, or retreats.
SuppressionTeammates need time to revive, build, move supplies, or cross open ground.

What is the risk?

Support weapons can become expensive, heavy, and dependent on teammates. A player carrying a large weapon but no information, no route, and no squad timing may lose cash without changing the objective. Treat the weapon as part of a team job rather than a solo scoreboard plan.

Practical read

Final support weapon names, recoil, ammunition boxes, reloads, deployment mechanics, movement penalties, penetration, and suppressive effects need public-build evidence.
